Trader Joe’s has been granted approval from the Boston Licensing Board to sell alcohol at its upcoming store located at 500 Boylston St. in Boston’s Back Bay. The new store is situated half a mile away from the company’s existing location within the same neighborhood. A building permit for plumbing work for retail space was also issued, with 16,500 square-feet of space available at the 712,000-square-foot mixed-use complex that closes by 9 p.m..
In addition to its current Back Bay location, Trader Joe’s has two other stores in Allston and Seaport District respectively; while this new spot will fill much of what remains vacant on ground floor retail area of this complex.
