Avondale Mixed-Use Project Development Team Nears Completion

An Avondale Planning Commission has granted a development team, comprised of the property owner Stotz Farms, Inc., two builders and a hospital group approval to create The District at Crystal Springs – a 45-acre mixed use development. AZBEX reports that planned uses on the site include multifamily and active adult residential units, an inpatient rehabilitation hospital, hospitality providers and retail.

The residential components will offer up to 216 apartments as well as 268 two-story townhome-style units in three-, four- and five-plex configurations with two car garages. Additionally there will be gated access for visitors along with amenities such as clubhouse facilities and pool areas.

The project is expected to be platted out over multiple phases beginning with the construction of its healthcare components followed by commercial elements; it is anticipated that this will receive final approval from Avondale City Council at an upcoming meeting.
