**Ascent Aviation Services Unveils $70 Million Expansion at Marana Facility**

Ascent Aviation Services has officially opened two new wide-body maintenance hangars at its Pinal Air Park (MZJ) facility in Marana, Arizona. Spanning 90,000 square feet each, the hangars represent a $70 million investment aimed at significantly expanding the company’s maintenance capabilities.

The expansion increases Ascent’s hangar capacity by 200%, enabling the company to handle heavier and more extensive maintenance operations. This move also strengthens Ascent’s ongoing commercial partnership with Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) in support of the Boeing 777-300ER passenger-to-freighter (P2F) conversion program.

The B777-300ER Cargo Conversion Program is designed to replace aging wide-body freighters and provide additional capacity to meet the increasing demands of the global e-commerce sector. Air cargo demand is projected to grow by 4-5% annually over the next five years. As the only non-OEM MRO (maintenance, repair, and overhaul) conversion facility in North America capable of performing B777-300ER modifications, Ascent is uniquely positioned to address this growing market need.

The new facility is also expected to generate more than 300 new high-paying jobs in the region. Ascent previously added another hangar to its Marana facility in 2015.

With this strategic expansion, Ascent Aviation Services strengthens its leadership in wide-body MRO services and reinforces Arizona’s growing reputation as a hub for aviation maintenance and innovation.
