Skender recently completed construction on the 81,000-square-foot Avant headquarters in The Mart. This financial technology company’s office features open workstations, multiple cafés and a mix of collaboration, conferencing and focus spaces – including a large hub / town hall area. With this new workspace doubling Avant’s presence in Chicago, it provides for flexibility and growth.
The project was completed within an aggressive 16-week schedule on time and under budget by Skender as general contractor with CBRE as tenant representative; Gensler as architect; Syska Hennessy Group as engineer. Over the past decade Skender has built out or renovated approximately 2 million square feet of workspace at The Mart while currently working with owner Vornado Realty Trust to reposition the property’s ambitious initiative.
Avant relocated from 222 N LaSalle St., beginning operations from their new headquarters this past January 2021
