"AVAIO Digital Plans $3B Data Center Campus in Virginia"

AVAIO Digital Partners has recently reached an agreement with the Appomattox County Economic Development Authority to acquire a 452-acre business and industrial site in Virginia. The plan is for AVAIO Digital to transform this site into a state-of-the-art data center campus, estimated at $3 billion, that will utilize renewable energy sources on-site. This project has been made possible through confirmed partnerships with CVEC and Dominion, securing 300 MW of power for the facility. Additionally, the location is fully zoned for data centers.

Known as the Appomattox Data Hub, this development adds to AVAIO Digital’s growing portfolio of hyperscale projects throughout both United States and Western Europe regions. With over 1.2 GWs of secured power from various utilities across multiple sites in America alone.

Mark McComiskey, managing partner at AVAIO Digital expressed excitement about working alongside Appomattox County officials in making such a significant investment towards enhancing digital infrastructure within their region while also promoting sustainability practices.”
