Austin Pickle Ranch has recently opened its second facility, just eight months after the launch of their first location. The new 50,000-square-foot play space is situated at 11000 N. I-35 and boasts 16 courts, including an acre dedicated to outdoor volleyball from ATX Beach. With a projected weekly attendance of between 5,000 and 10,000 players, the venue offers court reservations at competitive hourly rates of $40 during peak hours and $20 during off-peak hours.
Tom Klitch – owner of Austin Pickle Ranch – also founded the local professional pickleball team known as the Texas Ranchers.
According to recent rankings data from top pickleball cities in America (excluding Connect CRE’s locations), Austin currently holds fourth place behind New York City, Orem in Utah and Scottsdale. Other notable cities such as Houston and Dallas rank within the top twenty spots on this list. In fact,the sport has seen tremendous growth with over thirty-six million Americans participating last year alone.
