Austin Mixed-Use Project Rebranded and Begins Next Phase

The mixed-use development in Austin, formerly known as Velocity, has been renamed The Row and will now include an entertainment district and housing. Presidium is leading the 314-acre project located at the intersection of State Highways 71 and 130. The upcoming phase will feature a standalone restaurant site spanning over 6,250 square feet and an additional retail space of 22,000 square feet. Following that, phase three will add another 100,000 square feet of retail space along with an AC Hotel by Marriott in collaboration with Merritt Development Group. A second multifamily project consisting of over 300 units will also be built on the frontage road of SH71.

The Row aims to bring a mix of local and national retailers as well as restaurants and entertainment options within its premises. Once completed, it is expected to contribute thousands of homes along with hotels, retail spaces,and approximately100 acresof green space to Southeast Austin.The development already has entitlements for around7 million square feetof total area.
