**Canyon Ranch Austin Wellness Resort On Track for 2026 Opening**
Canyon Ranch is moving forward with its plans to open the Canyon Ranch Austin Wellness Resort in 2026. With a projected cost of $122 million, the development is set to become the largest spa in Texas.
The resort will be located on 600 acres along Lake Travis in Spicewood, approximately 30 miles from downtown Austin. The expansive facility will span about 224,000 square feet and will include offerings focused on health, fitness, performance, dining, lodging, and outdoor adventures.
The project received a significant boost in 2022 when VICI Properties provided a $200 million capital infusion to support its development.
Canyon Ranch, which is based in Fort Worth, currently operates wellness resorts in Arizona, California, Massachusetts, Las Vegas, and Fort Worth. The upcoming Austin location will be a flagship property in its growing portfolio.
VICI Properties Inc., a major player in the leisure and hospitality real estate market, owns properties such as Caesars Palace Las Vegas, MGM Grand, and the Venetian Resort Las Vegas. Its investment in Canyon Ranch further solidifies its interest in developing wellness-focused destinations.
