“AT&T Tower in St. Louis: Up for Sale Again”

"AT&T Tower in St. Louis: Up for Sale Again"

The largest building in Missouri, the former AT&T tower located at 909 Chestnut Street, is set to be auctioned off once again. The 44-story office tower will begin a three-day online auction with a starting bid of $2.5 million, as reported by the St. Louis Business Journal.

Matt Bukhshtaber from CBRE’s St. Louis office is handling the sale of this property which was acquired by SomeraRoad for $4 million in April 2022. With over 1.4 million square feet of space, this building holds the title for being both the largest in Missouri and within the St.Louis region; however it has remained vacant since AT&T relocated its employees to another building back in 2017.

According to sources, potential buyers could benefit from up to $80 million worth of state and federal historic tax credits as this property was recently designated on National Register of Historic Places (in year). This news comes after Connect CRE announced that AT&T Tower will be going back on market soon.
