The Raleigh City Council has recently given the green light to developer Atlas Stark for their proposed 20-story mixed-use project on Computer Drive, just inside the Beltline. The development will be situated on a 17.89-acre parcel of land starting at 3808 Six Forks Road and will include both residential and commercial components.
While the exact number of housing units has not been disclosed by Atlas Stark, it is estimated to be over 1,000 with a portion set aside as affordable units. Other conditions imposed by the council include restrictions on certain uses, limiting office space to no more than 500,000 square feet and retail space to no more than 150,000 square feet.
Previously zoned for only three stories, this property currently houses a State Employees’ Credit Union branch and an office building. It is unclear at this time if the credit union will remain part of the new development.
Atlas Stark describes themselves as a full-service commercial development company with expertise in various aspects such as asset acquisition/repositioning; ground-up development; adaptive reuse; leasing; and asset management. This venture marks another successful addition to their portfolio in Raleigh’s thriving real estate market.
