Atlanta-based private equity firm Peachtree Group has appointed an experienced operational management professional, Melissa Ross Smith, as their new Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Smith previously held the role of Managing Director at title insurance agency OS National LLC. During her tenure there she managed a team of over 250 professionals and was responsible for evaluating performance management systems and implementing improvements. In her new position with Peachtree Group, Smith will be in charge of overall performance strategy and organizational development while reporting to Greg Friedman – Managing Principal & CEO.
Friedman commented on the appointment: “As we continue to evolve our business operations here at Peachtree it is essential that we improve our foundational processes in order to ensure future growth. We are confident that Melissa’s exceptional blend of leadership skills, vision and execution make her an ideal fit for this COO role.”
Peachtree Group currently manages $2.3 billion worth of capital investments across 300 current projects which include lending services as well as asset management, development & property divisions..
