"Atlanta Highrise Secures Naming Rights from Regional Bank"

According to the Atlanta Business Chronicle, SouthState Bank has recently leased 87,000 square feet at the Prominence building. This makes them the largest tenant in the 19-story tower and grants them naming rights on top of the building.

The Prominence building, located at Piedmont and Lenox roads, was built in 1999. Over time it has housed companies such as Marsh & McLennan, Wells Fargo Insurance and GE Digital.

In a recent announcement, SouthState revealed its plans to acquire Independent Bank Group Inc., based in Texas for $2 billion. This merger will result in a combined bank with total assets of $65 billion.

In Atlanta alone, SouthState holds ninth place for deposit market share with $8.2 billion deposited as of June 30th. The bank currently operates 44 branches throughout Georgia.

JLL’s Josh Hirsh and Patrick Baughman represented SouthState during this leasing deal.
