Atlanta Headquarters Expansion Costs Piedmont $20M

Piedmont Healthcare Inc. is expanding its presence in Atlanta by leasing 164,000 square feet of space at the tallest office building in Atlantic Station. The company plans to consolidate its system support departments into one location, occupying levels 7-10 and 23-25 of the 25-story tower. According to permits, Piedmont could spend up to $22.4 million on this buildout.

The lease deal with Piedmont is just one example of a growing trend in large office deals completed this year in Atlanta, as reported by the Atlanta Business Chronicle.

This increase may be due to companies feeling more confident about their office-leasing decisions thanks to a more stable economy and a push for employees to return back into physical offices.

Real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield represented landlord Lionstone Investments while Savills’ Bo Keatley, David Rubenstein, John Flack and Michael Broome represented Piedmont during negotiations for this expansion project worth $20 million dollars.
