A prominent player in the film industry has been secured by an Atlanta-based developer for their $200 million studio in Douglas County. The studio, part of a larger mixed-use development called The Trails, is set to become Lionsgate’s new Georgia home base. Great Point Studios, the developer behind the project, has already signed leasing agreements with Lionsgate for eight sound stages and plans to add four more once additional deals are finalized.
With a total of 500,000 square feet under roof at buildout, this state-of-the-art facility is expected to be operational by February 2024. Great Point Studios also has other successful film studios located in Yonkers, Buffalo, Newark and Wales.
