**Abebe Ventures to Develop Major Mixed-Use Project in Southwest Atlanta**

Abebe Ventures has announced plans for a transformative mixed-use development in southwest Atlanta’s Capitol View neighborhood. The ambitious project, slated for completion by 2035, will include 3,032 residential units along with more than 716,000 square feet of commercial space.

The development is planned along Sylvan Road, between Avon Avenue to the north and Dill Avenue to the south. Abebe Westside Ventures LLC acquired a 6.5-acre parcel at 1215 Sylvan Road last August for $8.3 million, according to the Atlanta Business Chronicle. Additional parcels along the adjacent Cox Avenue are also expected to be part of the overall site.

Positioned near the Beltline’s Oakland + Murphy connector trail, the project will benefit from the 1.31-mile path that will eventually join the Beltline Southside Trail to Murphy Avenue and the Oakland City MARTA station. Construction on the connector trail is scheduled to begin in 2026 and conclude by 2027.

The upcoming development will also be located adjacent to Murphy Crossing, a planned Beltline project that will offer housing, retail, and industrial space across approximately 20 acres along the Westside Trail.

This major investment reflects continued momentum and revitalization efforts in the southwest Atlanta corridor.
