"Atlanta Data Center Project: Developer Duo Collaborates on $1.8B Venture"

TA Realty and EdgeConneX have joined forces to build a state-of-the-art hyperscale data center in Union City, located southwest of Atlanta. The project is estimated to cost $1.8 billion and will span over 2.1 million square feet upon completion in 2029.

Construction on the first phase, which includes a 612,000-square-foot facility, is set to begin later this year with an expected online date of 2026. Microsoft has been reported as the end user for this future campus.

The development has received approval from the Development Authority of Fulton County for $75 million in incentives over a period of ten years for EdgeConneX. It is projected to create approximately 50 full-time jobs and generate between 400-600 temporary construction jobs.

With an economic impact estimated at $2.9 billion over ten years and potential tax revenues reaching up to $200 million during that same time frame, this collaboration between TA Realty and EdgeConneX promises significant growth opportunities for both companies as well as the surrounding community.
