A new boutique hotel has opened in Athens, Georgia, where the historic Southern Mill once produced denim in 1902. The Rivet House boasts 50 rooms and is part of a larger development that includes four buildings and spans over 160,000 square feet. Designed by Jessica Whitley, the hotel maintains its industrial charm with exposed brick walls and wooden beams from its previous life as a factory. Whitley and her husband purchased the property for $1.4 million with plans to revitalize it into a unique hospitality experience.
Managed by Indigo Road Hospitality Group, Rivet House offers guests luxurious amenities such as a spa and an on-site restaurant called Osteria Olio serving modern Italian cuisine. Room rates start at $340 per night with options including standard king or queen rooms as well as premier king suites.
Conveniently located near the University of Georgia campus in Athens, Rivet House aims to attract visitors attending various arts and athletic events at the school.
