**Arlington Highlands Completes First Phase of $30M Renovation**

Fairbourne Properties and AEW Capital Management have completed the first phase of a $30 million renovation of Arlington Highlands, a 714,935-square-foot open-air shopping center located at the northeast corner of Interstate 20 and Matlock Road in Arlington, Texas.

Originally developed between 2007 and 2009 by Retail Connection and the Mathis family, Arlington Highlands was acquired by Fairbourne Properties and AEW in 2011. Since then, it has become a major retail and leisure destination, housing more than 30 restaurants, retail and specialty shops, and entertainment venues. The shopping center’s 116 tenants collectively attract between 600,000 and 800,000 visitors each month.

The revitalization project, managed in part by Dallas-based SHOP Companies as the leasing agent, is aimed at expanding and diversifying the tenant mix while enhancing the overall visitor experience. The completed first phase has focused on improving the center’s walkability, aesthetic appeal, and its use as a community gathering space.

Phase Two of the redevelopment is slated for completion by the end of 2025. Planned upgrades include new wayfinding signage, additional family-friendly park amenities, and property improvements tailored for both current and future retailers at Arlington Highlands.

The transformation aims to further solidify Arlington Highlands as a premier retail and lifestyle destination in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
