### Ardent Acquires Seminole Towne Center for Mixed-Use Redevelopment
The Ardent Companies (Ardent) has acquired 76 acres of the Seminole Towne Center site in Sanford, Florida, for $17.5 million. The company plans to transform the former 30-year-old mall, which has since closed, into a vibrant mixed-use development featuring new retail, multifamily housing, and a hotel. The property was previously owned by 4th Dimension Properties, which, along with an investor partner, purchased it for $52.3 million in 2020.
Ardent’s Matt Shulman emphasized the company’s commitment to working closely with the City of Sanford and other stakeholders to create a dynamic district that will once again serve as a central hub for residents and visitors. “We look forward to sharing more details soon,” he stated.
Sanford’s Director of Economic Development, Brady Lessard, highlighted the significance of the redevelopment, calling it “the largest retail redevelopment in Seminole County’s history.”
This long-term investment aligns with Ardent’s strategy of revitalizing distressed properties, demonstrating the company’s dedication to transformative real estate projects.
