Megan Brown has recently joined Finegold Alexander Architects as a key member of their FA Energy practice. In this role, she will lead efforts to decarbonize campuses and facilities, in line with the firm’s commitment to reducing project carbon footprints through the AIA 2030 Commitment.
With her extensive experience and certification as a Passive House Consultant, Brown brings valuable expertise in energy-efficient envelope assessments and upgrades. Her background in civic, higher education, and cultural architecture also adds diverse project knowledge that emphasizes the urgent need for reducing carbon emissions in the built environment.
According to Brown, “Together with Finegold Alexander’s focus on decarbonization goals and their impressive work in historic preservation, FA Energy is well-positioned to drive real change for a better future.” The team is currently working on various projects such as Wellesley College’s Severance Hall and Brandeis University’s Brown Social Science Labs with an aim towards achieving carbon-free futures at multiple scales.
