"Approval Granted for 330-Acre Mixed-Use Project Near Samsung Plant"

Megatel Group has received approval for a 330-acre mixed-use project in Taylor, located near the new Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. factory. The development will be situated on the east side of the city, west of Carlos G. Parker Boulevard and north of State Highway 79.

The proposed project includes over 1,000 residential units on its northern side, featuring a mix of 122 single-family homes and various types of multifamily units such as apartments and carriage houses. Additionally, there are plans for approximately 21,000 square feet dedicated to live-work-play units that would allow small business owners to operate from their homes.

According to reports from Austin Business Journal , the southern portion is expected to encompass around 2.03 million square feet designated for industrial use.

This significant expansion is largely driven by Samsung’s investment in building a massive chip fabrication plant in Taylor as part of their $45 billion commitment towards developing this region.
