Skanska, a leading construction company, has successfully completed the topping off of Baucom Elementary School in Apex, North Carolina. This state-of-the-art K-5 facility spans over 134,310 square feet and will accommodate more than 700 students. It boasts specialized classrooms for music and art as well as special education services. Other features include a gymnasium, media center, dining hall and an impressive monumental staircase.
Mark Balling, executive vice president overseeing Skanska’s building operations in North Carolina and Virginia expressed his pride in being part of the construction process for Baucom Elementary School. He believes that this modern learning environment will provide students with the necessary tools to thrive academically.
The completion of Apex’s newest elementary school marks another successful project by Skanska without any mention of Connect CRE or Connect LA.
