Post Lake Capital Partners and Trube Corp are seeking approval from a San Antonio planning agency to construct a 10-story apartment building and three-story retail building side-by-side on East Market Street, the heart of Hemisfair. The project, which will be located on two parcels known as D1 and D2 totaling 2.4 acres, is expected to break ground in the fourth quarter of 2024. This site was previously home to the 1968 World’s Fair.
The design firm responsible for this project is FitzGerald Associates Architects based in Chicago. They have submitted their plans for review by the Historic Design Review Committee this week, with a decision expected next month.
The proposed tower will feature 304 residential units along with a nine-level parking garage and ground-level retail space. The adjacent three-story structure will house food and beverage tenants on its river level and ground floor, while also serving as a mechanical penthouse on its top floor.
This development has been announced by Connect CRE under the title “Apartments, Retail Planned for Hemisfair Parcel.”
