**Construction Set to Begin on Heritage at Old Town Redevelopment in Alexandria, Virginia**
Construction is officially set to begin at The Heritage at Old Town, located at 505 S. Alfred Street in Alexandria, Virginia. The redevelopment project, referred to as Block 4, will feature 310 apartment homes and over 14,000 square feet of amenity space.
Jair Lynch Real Estate Partners acquired the fully entitled development plans for The Heritage at Old Town in December 2021. The long-anticipated project, which had experienced previous delays, is expected to bring up to 750 new apartments to the Old Town neighborhood. The plan includes three multifamily residential buildings spread across approximately two and a half city blocks.
The first and second phases of the redevelopment will include 598 newly constructed apartments, replacing the aging garden-style apartments that have already been demolished. The site was originally approved for redevelopment by Asland Capital Partners LLC, who subsequently sold the properties to Jair Lynch Real Estate Partners.
This major residential initiative is expected to significantly reshape and enhance the housing landscape in Old Town Alexandria.
