The Tempe City Council recently approved a resolution for The Marshall at Tempe and an ordinance for Skye Tempe, two mixed-use developments that will bring on 189 and 281 units respectively. Along with the residential offerings, The Marshall will include a 72-key Sleep Inn & Suites while Skye Tempe will have 6,650 square feet of commercial space available as retail “market”.
At its Sept. 28 meeting the Council is expected to approve three more projects which would add 1,086 additional units: Apache Square (a five-story project at 1747 E. Apache Blvd with 167 planned units), 211 E. 7th Street (a 28-story project at 211 E. 7th Street with 380 planned units) and 955 East Mixed Use (an 18-story project at 955 E University Drive with 539 planned).
This week’s approvals in Phoenix are part of an incredible apartment growth trend in the area that totals nearly 3,400 new residential options combined between both cities – making it one of most exciting times to live or invest in Arizona real estate market!
