A development group is planning to construct a 159,000-square-foot Costco Wholesale store and a residential project in Littleton, CO. According to the Denver Business Journal, Republic Investment Group is collaborating with the city of Littleton on this venture. The developer intends to demolish an empty two-story office building spanning 400,000 square feet that was previously occupied by Lumen Technologies. This will pave way for a mixed-use project.
The current zoning at the Costco site permits warehouse retail on an area of 18 acres and includes plans for a gas station with 32 fueling positions. The proposed parking lot would accommodate up to 857 cars. If approved, this will be Littleton’s second Costco location as part of its expansion plan which involves opening approximately 24 new stores in the US and seven internationally.
Embrey has been selected as the lead contractor for constructing multifamily housing within this development project. It will consist of a community comprising of two- and three-story apartments totaling up to370 units.The amenities planned includea pool,a fitness center,and outdoor sports courts.This exciting addition marks another milestone in Littleton’s growth trajectory.
