According to a report from the New York Business Journal, WeWork Inc. has recently signed a lease for 304,000 square feet of office space in partnership with Amazon. The space is located at Vornado Realty Trust’s 330 W. 34th St., which is part of the REIT’s Penn District portfolio.
Under this agreement, WeWork will customize and oversee the management of this office space as Amazon plans to have its employees return to work five days a week. This deal grants WeWork control over a significant portion (682,000 square feet) of the building.
A spokesperson for WeWork confirmed that they are collaborating with Amazon on their real estate strategy and emphasized their commitment to sustainable growth while meeting clients’ diverse needs in key locations like Midtown Manhattan’s dynamic commercial hub at 300 W.34th St.
This location aligns perfectly with WeWork’s focus on flexibility and innovation as they continue expanding their presence in major cities worldwide.
