"Amazon to Hire 16,000 Seasonal Workers in Inland Empire and Southern California"

Amazon is ramping up its workforce in Southern California and throughout the state, with plans to add 16,000 employees to its warehouse network in the region and a total of 30,000 across California. This hiring spree is part of the company’s seasonal push to fill a whopping 250,000 jobs nationwide ahead of the busy holiday shopping season.

The Inland Empire specifically has seen significant growth from Amazon, as they currently operate over 40 robotic fulfillment centers along with sortation facilities and delivery stations. Additionally, their KSBD air hub at San Bernardino International Airport adds to their strong presence in this area (as reported by The Press-Enterprise).

With an impressive expansion plan already underway this year – including more than fifty new fulfillment centers and same-day delivery sites across America – Amazon now boasts even more job opportunities for eager applicants. Notably, they are also increasing their average starting pay for new hires to $20.50 per hour (with some locations offering base wages as high as $28 hourly).
