**Amazon Expanding in Texas with New Belton Delivery Station**
Amazon is set to expand its Texas operations by opening a new 127,000-square-foot delivery station north of Austin. The facility will be located at 3125 Capitol Way in Belton, with construction slated to begin soon.
The new delivery station will function as part of Amazon’s last-mile delivery network. Customer packages will be transported from Amazon’s fulfillment and sortation centers to the Belton station, where they will be sorted and loaded onto delivery trucks. These trucks then handle final deliveries to customers, typically within a 50-mile radius of the facility.
This latest project adds to Amazon’s significant footprint in the Austin metro area, where the company already employs approximately 11,000 people as of 2024. That workforce places Amazon among the top six largest private sector employers in the region.
Belton, the county seat of Bell County, has a population of about 24,000. Other major employers in the area include H-E-B, Tru Homes, and CGI.
With this new development, Amazon continues to invest in infrastructure aimed at supporting its growing logistics and delivery operations across the state of Texas.
