**BRIDGE Housing Breaks Ground on Affordable Housing Project in Bellevue**
BRIDGE Housing has officially commenced construction on a new affordable housing community in Bellevue, Washington.
Located in the Spring District, this transit-oriented development will feature 234 affordable apartments for residents earning below 60 percent of the Area Median Income (AMI). The project is backed by key financial partners, including Amazon, the Washington State Department of Commerce, King County, the City of Bellevue, ARCH, Citi as the construction lender, JLL as the permanent lender, and the National Affordable Housing Trust as the tax credit investor, among others.
Of the 234 units, 40 apartments will be designated for individuals with developmental disabilities. The community will consist of two mid-rise buildings, standing six and seven stories tall, on land provided by Sound Transit.
BRIDGE Housing President and CEO Ken Lombard expressed gratitude for the collaboration behind the project, stating, “We are grateful to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with dedicated partners at the city, county, and state levels, along with business allies like Amazon, to help address this ongoing and urgent challenge.”
