**Amazon Resumes Construction of Artise Tower in Bellevue**
Amazon has resumed construction on the Artise, a 25-story office tower in downtown Bellevue, after a pause of more than a year.
Recent permit filings indicate that work is set to recommence on the 611,000-square-foot building, located at 788 106th Ave. Developed by Schnitzer West, the Artise is designed as a state-of-the-art workplace capable of housing thousands of Amazon employees.
Public documents show that Amazon intends to complete all 25 floors of the tower, with one filing estimating the total project value at approximately $80 million. Construction was originally paused in 2022 as Amazon reevaluated its office footprint and long-term workplace strategy.
The decision to move forward with the Artise highlights Amazon’s renewed commitment to expanding its presence in the Bellevue area. The company is already the largest office occupier in the greater Seattle region, with a portfolio totaling nearly 18 million square feet.
