“Amazon Purchases 140 Acres in Prince William County for $152 Million”

Amazon Data Services Inc., the data center division of Amazon.com Inc., has recently completed the purchase of approximately 140 acres in Manassas, Prince William County for a reported $152 million. According to Washington Business Journal, these parcels are located within Prince William County’s Data Center Opportunity Zone Overlay District and have been specifically zoned for data centers with expedited permitting processes and development rights. The four parcels include two sets: one spanning 27 acres at 7151 and 7350 Century Park Drive, strategically situated less than two miles from the upcoming Digital Gateway data center campus; and another covering a total of 113 acres at 8401 and8501 Vulcan Lane, adjacent to Vulcan Materials Co.’s quarry property.
