Amazon Provides $22M Loan for Affordable Housing Project

Amazon has pledged a $22.1 million loan to support the development of an affordable housing project in Bellevue. The project, which will consist of two buildings and 234 units, is being built near Bellevue’s Spring District on a site owned by Sound Transit. Construction is already underway and the project is expected to be completed in 2026 by developer Bridge Housing from California.

This initiative falls under Amazon’s Housing Equity Fund, which aims to provide funding for multi-family affordable housing developments across various regions including Washington State’s Puget Sound area, Arlington/Virginia D.C., and Nashville/Tennessee. Last year in August, Amazon reopened their application portal for the fund after announcing an additional commitment of $1.4 billion towards creating or preserving 14,000 affordable homes.
