**Amazon to Build 933,000-Square-Foot Distribution Hub in Terrell, Texas**
Hunt Realty Investments has sold 120 acres of land located on Airport Road in Terrell, Texas, to Amazon for the development of a new international distribution complex.
According to the Dallas Business Journal, construction has already commenced on the site, which will soon house an inbound cross-dock facility spanning approximately 933,656 square feet. The project is being developed by Seefried Industrial Properties Inc., a firm widely recognized for its work on Amazon facilities across the country. The facility is expected to support more than 1,000 jobs upon completion.
Amazon’s commitment to Texas continues to deepen. Since 2019, the e-commerce giant has invested around $70 billion in the state. Its current footprint includes 49 fulfillment centers, 33 delivery stations, and 36 Whole Foods Market locations.
Though Hunt Realty sold the 120-acre parcel to Amazon, it has retained ownership of 8,000 surrounding acres in Terrell.
