### Joann Inc. to Close All 43 Texas Stores Amid Liquidation

Joann Inc. is set to close all of its more than 800 fabric and craft stores nationwide, including nine locations in the Houston area, this spring. The move comes after the retailer’s assets were auctioned off as part of bankruptcy proceedings ordered by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Delaware.

The winning bidders, Great American Group and Wilmington Savings Fund, plan to wind down operations and conduct going-out-of-business sales across all store locations.

Even before the auction, Joann had already begun liquidation sales at two-thirds of its 802 stores across 49 states, including 18 locations in Texas and four in the Houston area. In addition to one location in Houston, the company has stores in Humble, Katy, Spring, Sugar Land, and Webster. In total, Joann operates 43 stores across 35 cities in Texas.
