Alexandria Real Estate Equities has expedited the construction of its property located at 325 Binney Street in Cambridge, Massachusetts for Moderna. The state-of-the-art facility, spanning over 462,100 square feet and scheduled to be completed by November 2023, will serve as Moderna’s new global headquarters and primary research and development operations. This Class A+ property is set to become Moderna’s most eco-friendly laboratory building in Cambridge with its LEED Zero Energy, LEED Platinum Core & Shell, Fitwel Life Science,and WiredScore Platinum certifications.
Moderna’s chief financial officer Jamey Mock expressed their appreciation for Alexandria as a long-term strategic partner and commended their efforts in developing this sustainable HQ and science center. In recognition of this project,Alexandria was awarded the prestigious Visionary Award by the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce for their commitment towards sustainability.
