Aircraft Parts Company Relocates Headquarters to Phoenix from Los Angeles

Unical Aviation recently decided to move its corporate operations from Los Angeles to Glendale, Arizona. The 600,000 square foot site near Luke Air Force Base will be used for housing the company’s headquarters as well as storing 85 million aircraft parts and components. Unical is expected to begin filling customer orders and shipping from Glendale this summer.

According to the Phoenix Business Journal, CEO Sharon Green chose Phoenix due in part because of California’s high corporate tax rates and rents combined with it being within a day’s drive away. Approximately 250 people are expected to be employed by Unical including 70-80 new hires across warehouse, finance, aircraft repair, human resources and IT positions.
