**AI Startup Sturdy.ai Secures $6 Million, Eyes Portland Headquarters**
Portland-based startup Sturdy.ai, which leverages artificial intelligence to analyze customer communications, has raised $6 million in a seed funding round. The round was led by Voyager Capital and included participation from Fortson VC and existing investor Grotech Ventures.
The newly secured capital will be used to enhance Sturdy’s AI capabilities, expand integrations with customer data silos, and grow both its engineering and go-to-market teams.
According to the Portland Business Journal, Sturdy.ai is currently scouting for office space in Portland’s Pearl District. The company anticipates establishing a local team of eight to ten employees over the next 18 months, complementing its existing remote workforce.
“We’re creating an AI-first intelligent interface for all things customer,” said Steve Hazelton, CEO and co-founder of Sturdy.ai. “This allows Sturdy to provide an almost magical understanding of every customer interaction across every data silo. This funding enables us to move faster to empower teams to stay ahead of risk and unlock new revenue opportunities.”
Sturdy.ai’s innovative platform is designed to help businesses better understand and act on insights extracted from customer interactions, with the goal of improving customer experience and driving business growth.
