Affordable Senior Housing Financing for DC Land

Enterprise Community Development has successfully secured financing for the construction of Edgewood Commons V, a key addition to Northeast Washington D.C.’s Edgewood Commons campus. This development will provide nearly 800 affordable homes and is located at 435 Edgewood Street, NE. The project includes a mix of studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments catering to residents with varying income levels. A total of 96 units will be available for those earning up to 30% of the area median income (AMI), while another 54 units are reserved for individuals earning up to 50% AMI.

According to Christine Madigan, interim president of Enterprise Community Development, this community plays an integral role in their efforts towards creating and preserving affordable housing options in the Edgewood neighborhood. The design prioritizes accessibility and environmental sustainability by adhering to Green Communities standards. Completion is expected in the third quarter of 2025.

This latest achievement showcases Enterprise Community Development’s commitment towards providing quality housing options for seniors within the community without compromising on affordability or sustainability standards.
