LS Black is constructing an $88 million rental community in Round Rock, north of Austin. All units will be priced for households making 30% to 60% of the area median income and none are market rate apartments. The Preserve at Mustang Creek will feature one- to four-bedroom floor plans and a large solar carport that offsets 90%-100% of common electricity use.
Public financial partners include Capitol Area Housing Finance Corp., Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs, Red Stone Tax Exempt Funding, WNC & Associates; while Merriman Anderson Architects and Cadence McShane Construction are working on the project which occupies nine acres at 1401 County Road 118.
