AHC Inc., an affordable housing developer, recently celebrated the grand opening of The Terraces at Arlington View. This $40.8 million redevelopment project features 77 affordable apartments, doubling the number of homes from the previous building. Sustainable features such as solar panels, a green roof and electric charging stations were included in this new community located in Maryland and Virginia.
The ceremony was attended by local dignitaries including Virginia State Senator Barbara Favola and State Delegate Alfonso Lopez to celebrate this milestone for AHC Inc.. These apartments are intended for families earning between 30% – 60% of median income in the area with phase one being completed; a second phase is set to bring even more brand-new homes to this community through redevelopment on S Rolfe Street’s west side buildings . The Terraces is AHC’s first Energy Star-certified building achieving Gold-level certification with EarthCraft Multifamily making it energy efficient while providing quality living standards for its residents .
