A new 56-unit affordable apartment community has opened in Irvington, New Jersey, thanks to a partnership between developer Adenah Bayoh and The NRP Group. The five-story mid-rise building comprises one-, two-, and three-bedroom units with parking, with five units reserved explicitly for residents with special needs. At the ribbon cutting ceremony Mayor Tony Vauss of Irvington remarked: “When we look at these projects from start to finish, we can only imagine all the residents who are going to enjoy the benefits of living in a brand new, affordable community.” Financing partners included: New Jersey Housing Mortgage Finance Agency; JPMorgan Chase Bank; Hudson Housing; Township of Irvington; Greater Newark LISC as well as project based vouchers provided by Irvington Housing Authority.
