Affirmed Housing, a leading provider of affordable and supportive housing throughout California, has launched construction on Estrella – an approximately 79,510-square-foot affordable housing development in San Marcos. The complex will provide 96 apartments to low-income families earning between 30% and 80% percent of the area median income.
Four residential buildings with a mixture of one-, two- and three bedroom apartments comprise Estrella. A separate community building offers residents access to several shared amenities such as a kitchenette, computer room, barbecue area and bicycle parking. Additionally four tot lots and teen recreation areas are incorporated into the site design for resident use.
San Marcos Mayor Rebecca Jones commented: “Estrella is a win for the City of San Marcos its citizens; between Estrella adjacent Alora development we are adding nearly 200 units for working families low income residents”
This project marks another successful collaboration from Affirmed Housing that provides much needed quality living spaces within California communities while providing support services necessary to ensure long term success for their tenants
