Tract, a data center developer, has announced plans for a 1,700-acre campus in the West Valley of Phoenix. The proposed location is just south of Interstate 10 and would require approval from the City of Buckeye. This approval would allow for phased development on approximately 1,700 acres and also include a mix of industrial uses within the larger Buckeye Tech Corridor spanning over 2,000 acres.
As part of this project agreement with Tract, they have committed to contributing $18.5 million towards future improvements including an I-10 interchange at Johnson Road and a temporary public safety facility. These enhancements will benefit not only Tract’s development but also the surrounding community.
According to Cushman & Wakefield’s report on data center markets in the US, Metro Phoenix ranks fourth among major cities due to its deep pipelines and continued investment by hyper scalers looking to expand their cloud regions as well as integrate AI technology into their services. With this new campus from Tract in Buckeye’s Tech Corridor area poised for success within this growing market segment.
