AdventHealth Announces $660 Million Hospital Development in Orlando
AdventHealth is making a significant investment in the future of healthcare in Central Florida with the construction of a new hospital in downtown Orlando. The project features a 14-story, 595,000-square-foot patient and surgical tower. Once fully completed, the state-of-the-art facility will house 440 patient beds and 24 operating rooms.
According to reports from the Orlando Business Journal, the healthcare system is allocating $660 million for the initial phase of the development. This phase will include 120 patient beds, eight operating rooms, and essential support infrastructure such as sterile processing and nutritional services.
Construction of the new tower is expected to span five years, with groundbreaking set for mid-2026 and completion of the initial phase targeted for the first quarter of 2030. The design includes shell space that will allow the hospital to expand upwards, adding new floors incrementally in response to future demand.
Brasfield & Gorrie has been selected as the general contractor for the ambitious project, with architectural design led by HuntonBrady Architects.
AdventHealth’s Central Florida Division currently operates 20 hospitals and emergency rooms across seven counties in the region, serving more than 5.7 million patient visits annually. This new addition reflects the organization’s continued commitment to expanding access to advanced healthcare services in one of the fastest-growing regions in the country.
