Santa Monica-based video game company, Activision Blizzard Inc., has secured a sublease for a full floor at The Hub on Causeway Tower in Boston from Verizon Communications Inc. This news was reported by the Boston Business Journal.
Previously, portions of this space were subleased to Alphabet Inc.’s Verily. However, with 190,000 square feet now available for sublease and an additional 27,000 square feet soon to be occupied by Activision, the company’s move is significant.
This decision comes amidst ongoing scrutiny surrounding Activision including a recent gender discrimination settlement and news of CEO Bobby Kotick’s departure. With this new office opening in Boston being their first location in the city, it marks an exciting development for the company.
