ABX-1 Data Center in Ashburn Powered by PowerHouse Inks

PowerHouse Data Centers has secured a 30-year lease agreement with CyrusOne Inc. for the spec-built data center, ABX-1, located in Ashburn, Virginia. Scheduled for completion in October 2020, this two-story building is 265,000 square feet and will be situated within Data Center Alley.

The joint venture between American Real Estate Partners and Harrison Street offers powered shell and build-to-suit data center solutions; ABX1 being the first of PowerHouse’s six sites under construction in Loudoun County that total 2.1 million square feet of space combined. Doug Fleit – cofounder & CEO of AREP & PowerHouse – commented on the project: “Hyperscalers and operators are looking to real estate solution providers to handle everything from land identification & acquisition to design/construction when it comes to their data centers.” Strategic partners involved with this project include DPR Construction, Corgan Architects , kW Mission Critical Engineering , Avison Young , Appleby Strategies Group .
