"Abilene Data Center Leased by Oracle"

ConnectCRE has announced the launch of a new project for the Stargate program, backed by President Donald Trump’s $500 billion initiative to strengthen America’s position in artificial intelligence. The first project under this program is an Abilene data storage facility, which is being hailed as the world’s largest computer.

Recent updates reveal that Newmark has secured a $2.3 billion loan through Jordan Roeschlaub, Clint Frease, and Brent Mayo to fund the development of a 206 MW build-to-suit data center in Abilene on behalf of Blue Owl Capital, Crusoe Energy Systems and Primary Digital Infrastructure. This financing was provided by JP Morgan.

The site will be leased to Oracle – one of three companies collaborating with Stargate – and will feature on-site self-generation capabilities totaling 300 MW. Groundbreaking for this development took place in 2024 and it is expected to begin operations with initial capacity in early 2025.

This latest announcement further solidifies Oracle’s involvement with Stargate as they prepare to lease this state-of-the-art data center located in Abilene.
