Callahan Construction Managers has been honored with an Excellence in Construction Award (EICA) by the Associated Builders and Contractors of Massachusetts for their exceptional work on Squirrelwood Apartments in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The project involved renovating 10 buildings, including a former candy factory, and constructing three new buildings to provide affordable housing. Notably, one of the apartment buildings was built to Passive House standards while others met Energy Star standards.
The project received recognition for its outstanding execution, skilled craftsmanship, commitment to safety measures, innovative elements incorporated into the design and construction process as well as overcoming challenges successfully. This achievement earned Callahan an Eagle Award for overall excellence from ABC MA.
