Fiber broadband provider Frontier Communications has joined a prestigious group of companies relocating their headquarters to Dallas. In a news release, Frontier stated that the city’s central location makes it easier for the formerly Connecticut-based company to stay close to its customers and manage its national operations. The company is investing in a new 95,000-square-foot office space – dubbed the GigaHub – in Uptown Dallas.
Other notable corporate relocations include McKesson Corp., AMN Healthcare, Tenet Health, Charles Schwab, Comerica Bank , Canyon Partners , Fisher Investments , Fluor Corporation , Jacobs Engineering Group Inc., AECOM Technology Corporation (NYSE: ACM), CBRE Group Inc.(NYSE: CBRE) and Landsea Homes .
The relocation is projected to boost local and state economies by $3.8 billion over 10 years while securing more than 3 000 jobs in the area . CEO Nick Jeffery added “Moving our headquarters here makes good business sense as we already have hundreds of employees based here plus this sits right at one of our most important fiber markets” .
